AUDIO: Ashantis are Ungrateful and don't deserve the Redevelopment of Kejetia Market - Afia Schwarzenegger
The US$ 298 million Kejetia Redevelopment Project which kick-started on October 19,2015 under the regime of the current opposition party NDC, having Alhaji Collins Dauda as the then Minister of Local Government and Rural Development and executed by a Brazilian Construction Firm, MESSRS CONTRACTA ENGENHARIA LIMITED has been quibbled by Controversial Actress Afia Schwarzenegger with the reason that ,Ex President Mahama should have situated the said project in Ho because Ashantis are ungrateful.
The futuristic project is to address challenges associated with the population growth and increase in trading activities
In an interview with MR ROAR on "Weekend Gruuv" on KESSBEN 93.3MHZ, the most patronised weekend showbiz Radio talk show in Kumasi,Mrs Abrokwah uttered confidently that she would have admonished Ex President Mahama to situate the earlier stipulated project in Ho but not in Kumasi had she met him In person.
" I have NEVER met Ex President Mahama. I would have advised him to halt the Kejetia project he embarked in Kumasi because Ashantis don't deserve that.Ashantis are very ungrateful" she added.
The new central market contains 4500 stores as compared to the old one which had only 1200 stores.
