The outgoing SRC President of Kumasi Academy has bemoaned the wrong reportage and erroneous media publicity being perpetuated by some media houses and social media platforms on the unfortunate loss of four of their students.

The SRC president was unhappy with the wild figures and absolute falsehood being churned out to the public about the incidence in the school and appealed to the media to disist from such acts.

He attributed the panic situation which prompted parents to troupe to the school to take their wards home to such falsehood and sensationalism by a section if the media.

“I am wondering how some of them got those figures of casualties they were putting out there, I heard one put the death toll at seventeen and I was wondering where from that. The media did not do well at all”

Four students were reported dead after complaining of sickness and granted due exeat to seek treatment in the house. The situation generated chaos and pandemonium when some parents read some sensational publications about the incidence and went to the school to pick their wards home.
