I will be performing with extra carefulness at the Ghana Meets Naija Concert on Saturday - Liwin



Kumawood poster boy, Kwadwo Nkansah Liwin during the annual Ghana Meets Naija Concert held at the Accra International Conference Centre on 24th May 2014, was sacked from stage for promoting Marijuana after he had performed a number of songs with Guru to thrill patrons of the concert.

Liwin stated that he lost his Coca-Cola, Tigo and MTN deals the following morning after the event due to how bitterly he was disgraced on stage.


He further averred unambiguously that the organizer of the event - Bola Ray, who knew absolutely that what he pulled out was not "weed" and was supposed to at least defend him or explain to the patrons on his behalf, turned his back on him.

After this bizarre incident, the award winning actor has never been espied on Ghana Meets Naija stage till date.


Many Ghanaians surmised that was the last time descrying Liwin on the said stage; but to the surprise of all Ghanaians, the "Mama Boss Papa" hit maker has been billed to perform at the 7th Ghana Meets Naija concert slated for Saturday 27th May, 2017 at the AICC.


Shata Wale ( Ghana), Davido (Nigeria), M.anifest (Ghana), Falz (Nigeria), and Tiwa Savage (Nigeria) are the Headliners for this year's concert.


Kojo Nkansah Liwin in an exclusive interview with DJ Roar on "Entertainment CIRKLE" on Kessben 93.3FM in Kumasi last Friday transpired patently that, they (Bola Ray and Liwin) settled their differences congenially in Kumasi even before the commencement of ABUSUA FM.



The comic actor added that, he even recorded a jingle for the new Radio Station after their reconciliation, delineating the cordial relationship between the two.


When asked by DJ Roar, host of the Entertainment show if he would complete what he couldn't finish some years ago, Liwin joyously replied by saying;


"I accepted to perform because of the love i have for my fans, and not to let Bola Ray and the other corporate entities know what I had in stock then. I will be performing with an absolute wariness this time around."


The Ghana Meets Naija concert is the biggest in the region. It brings together artistes from Ghana and Nigeria for a night’s celebration of music themed along battle lines. This year’s is themed around an election where the four main acts: Davido, Shatta Wale, M.anifest and Falz are being voted for in a special text-in exercise that will see a commissioner in the person of female rapper Eno, crown the eventual winner.
